A dedicated physical or digital space for fact checking, a corner of the room, a shared board somewhere visible, gives verification a lasting, visible presence in the room itself rather than confining it entirely to a single lesson that ends and is quickly forgotten by the following week's classes.
Populate it gradually with recent examples students bring in themselves: a claim, an image, a message, alongside the checking process the class used to evaluate it together. Seeing the method applied repeatedly to fresh, real material makes the whole habit feel current and relevant rather than purely theoretical or abstract.
Rotating responsibility for regularly updating the corner among different students builds genuine ownership of the process, turning verification into something the class maintains together over time rather than something simply delivered to them from the front of the room by a teacher acting entirely alone without any student input at all.
