A Reflection Journal For Verification Practice
Launch library · evergreen read

A simple ongoing journal, just a few sentences written after each verification exercise completed, builds a genuine personal record of the habit developing steadily over time, something a single lesson or one off worksheet could never fully capture entirely on its own without this kind of ongoing record.
Useful prompts here include what was actually checked in detail, what the process itself revealed, and what still felt uncertain even after the checking was properly done. That last prompt matters particularly, since acknowledging remaining uncertainty honestly is itself a genuinely mature and valuable verification skill that is well worth developing carefully over time.
Reading back through several weeks of accumulated entries at once often reveals genuine progress that would otherwise be entirely invisible day to day, a real record of growing comfort with a skill that initially felt quite effortful and genuinely unfamiliar to begin with, before it settled into something more natural.
